Polyethylene glycol methacrylate (PEGMA) oligomer was synthesized in this study and then co -polymerized with other acrylate monomers to obtain poly-acrylate (PA) resin with PEO (polyethylene oxide) side chain. The synthesized poly-acrylate resin was coated on glass-fiber fabric for de-emulsification and coalescence of water-in-oil emulsion. The chemical structure and composition of PEGMA and PEGMA containing poly-acrylate resin was characterized by 13C NMR, HPLC and FTIR. The wetting behavior of poly-acrylate resin films were evaluated by water contact angle (WCA) method. Micro-morphology of glass-fiber fabric was observed by SEM. The pore size, air permeability, tensile strength, de-emulsification and coalescence performance of glass-fiber fabric was tested. The results show that PEGMA oligomer and PEGMA containing poly-acrylate resin were successfully synthesized. The cured co -polymer films present excellent diesel-resistance property. The pore size and air permeability of the co -polymer coated glass-fiber fabric are well maintained while the tensile strength is greatly improved. The wetting behavior of PEGMA containing poly-acrylate resin indicates that the PEO side chain of the co -polymer can migrate to the film surface when contacting with water droplet, therefore help breaking the absorption equilibrium of surfactants on the water/oil interface, and lead to excellent de-emulsification and coalescence performance of the coated glass-fiber fabric. The efficient removal of uranium from aqueous solution remains of great challenge in securing water environment safety. In this paper, we reported a high temperature electrochemical method for the preparation of EuVO 4 with different morphologies from rare earth oxides and vanadate, which solved the problems of rare earth and vanadium recovery. The effects of pH, ionic strength, contact time, initial concentration and reaction temperature on the adsorption of U(VI) by prepared adsorbent were studied by static batch experiments. When the concentration of U(VI) standard is 100 mg g -1 , the maximum adsorption capacity of EuVO 4 is 276.16 mg g -1 . The adsorption mechanism was elucidated with zeta potential and XPS: 1) negatively charged EuVO 4 attracted UO 2 2+ by electrostatic attraction; 2) exposed Eu, V, and O atoms complexed with U(VI) through coordination; 3) the hybrid of Eu was complex, which accommodated different electrons to interact. In the multi-ion system with Al 3+ , Zn 2+ , Cu 2+ , Ni 2+ , Cr 2+ and Mn 2+ , EuVO 4 also showed good selective adsorption properties for U(VI).
